8 DAYS RAJASTHAN LUXURY FORTS & PALACES TOUR | Jaipur, Jodhpur, Narlai & Udaipur
Sleep inside Rajasthan's history: heritage forts and palace hotels in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Narlai and Udaipur. 8 days of luxury heritage stays across four of the state's finest cities.
8 Days Rajasthan Luxury Forts & Palaces Tour: Jaipur, Jodhpur, Narlai & Udaipur
Most Rajasthan tours show you forts and palaces from the outside, then take you back to a modern hotel for the night. This one doesn’t. Every stay on this route is a heritage property in its own right — a converted haveli in Jaipur, a fort-side heritage hotel in Jodhpur, a restored 17th-century hunting lodge at Narlai, and a lake-facing palace hotel in Udaipur. Eight days spent not just visiting Rajasthan’s royal history, but sleeping inside it.
Why This Route Is Different
A standard Rajasthan tour books you into modern hotels near the sights. This route books you into the sights themselves — heritage properties with their own history, each one part of the experience, not just a place to sleep.
- Jodhpur - a heritage hotel in the shadow of Mehrangarh Fort, in a city built almost entirely from the same stone as the fort above it
- Rawla Narlai - a restored 17th-century royal hunting lodge between Jodhpur and Udaipur, with a guided walking tour of the village and surrounding hills included in your stay
- Udaipur - a lake-facing palace hotel, in a city built almost entirely around the water it overlooks
None of these are generic upgrades. Each stay is a genuine heritage property with its own history — a former fort, a former hunting lodge, a former palace — so the accommodation itself becomes part of what makes this trip memorable, not just where you happen to sleep between sightseeing days.

A full day of Jaipur’s royal heritage: Amber Fort, the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and the astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar. In the evening, shop the bazaars for gemstones, block-printed textiles, and traditional jewelry. Overnight in Jaipur (night 2 of 2).
Drive to Jodhpur (approx. 5-6 hours), checking into a heritage hotel in the shadow of Mehrangarh Fort. Evening at leisure, with the fort illuminated above the old city as night falls. Overnight in Jodhpur (night 1 of 2).
A full day exploring Mehrangarh Fort, one of India’s largest and best-preserved forts, followed by a walk through Jodhpur’s blue-washed old city lanes. Overnight in Jodhpur (night 2 of 2).
Drive to Rawla Narlai (approx. 2.5-3 hours), a restored 17th-century royal hunting lodge between Jodhpur and Udaipur. In the afternoon, a guided walking tour of the village and surrounding hills with your host, included in your stay. Overnight at Rawla Narlai.
Drive toward Udaipur (approx. 3-4 hours), stopping en route at Ranakpur Jain Temple, one of India’s largest and most intricately carved marble temples. Arrive in Udaipur by afternoon and check into your lake-facing palace hotel. Overnight in Udaipur (night 1 of 2).
A day in Udaipur, often called the most romantic city in India: the City Palace complex, the intricately carved Jagdish Temple, and time on or around Lake Pichola. Close the day with dinner at your hotel as the palaces light up at sunset. Overnight in Udaipur (night 2 of 2).
A relaxed final morning before your transfer to Udaipur airport, for an onward flight to Jaipur or Delhi to connect with your departure. Our team assists with the transfer and any final coordination.

Dream Day Tours Golden Triangle and Tiger Safari Tour is definitely worth booking! Review of Dream Day Tours - Golden Triangle plus Tiger Safari Tour This past June my wife and I traveled to India with one of my wife’s colleagues to visit her husband’s hometown in Assam, India. It was great seeing a part of India from the perspective of a family that lived there, but since this was my wife’s first time to India, we decided to book a tour to show her some other beautiful sites. And so, we booked a lovely tour through Dream Day Tours, which is based in Jaipur. It was called the Golden Triangle Tour with Tiger Safari. It was just the two of us on the tour, so Dream Day Tours catered everything to our needs and desires. To begin, we flew into Delhi and Dream Day arranged for a driver to bring us from the airport to the Welcomehotel by ITC in Dwarka. Excellent hotel with very good food. The next day, we started our tour with the driver that was assigned to us, Jeetu Singh. Jeetu was great and transported us to our various destinations for the entire tour. We were also provided with a local guide for Delhi, Aarif Sheikh. Aarif was an excellent guide. He gave us a lot of historical and cultural information and took us to Jama Masjid, which was a spectacular mosque built in the time of the Mughals in the 1600’s, and still used for prayer today. We also got a bicycle rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, which is a lively and colorful market nearby. We were also taken to a grand Sikh Temple and learned of the generosity of the Sikh’s to their pilgrims and temple visitors. We appreciated the visits to the monuments and museums that were made around the life and death of Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi. The next morning Jeetu brought us to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. We were met there by our guide Vipin. The Taj is spectacular, and basically was the only site we visited in Agra. Vipin brought us to various places to see the Taj under different views and at sunrise and sunset. We had total access to the Taj and its grounds, and Vipin, an amateur photographer took many beautiful and romantic photos of us with the Taj as a background. In fact, he took such a beautiful photo of us that we both use it as our most recent FB profile page. He definitely has talent as a photographer! On our way from Agra to Jaipur, Jeetu had us visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was the capital of the Mughal empire under Emperor Akbar in the 1500’s. This was certainly worth the visit. And we also stopped at a step well, which was a structure that was used historically to provide water to the inhabitants of the area. It was really different, fascinating, and ingenious! In Jaipur, the Pink City, we were again provided with a guide that was very versed in Indian culture and history, Mr. Raghuveer. He immediately brought us the Hawa Mahal, or Wind Palace, which is an incredibly beautiful structure overlooking a large busy square. We were again brought there by the Dream Day Tours owner, Ashfaq, in the evening, to see its beauty at night. Phenomenal! We had stressed that, besides seeing traditional tourist sites, we wanted to get an experience that showed us some of what really goes on in Jaipur streets, so Mr. Raghuveer took us to the flower market, where we were showered with flowers. This seemed especially appropriate for us since we had just celebrated our 40th anniversary. It was wild, and the flowers were beautiful, and an Indian friend of ours said it was like we were getting married! Then we visited the extraordinarily ornate and expansive Amber Fort, which was built in the 1500s by a Hindu Raj that had a political alliance with the Muslim Moghul Emperor Akbar. Beyond beautiful! Didn’t think that could be topped, but then we were brought to the City Palace, which was unbelievable in its majesty! Other things that made the trip a super experience were seeing a real snake charmer and having a hands-on interaction with an elephant, which was very weird, very exciting, and a little unnerving! We were definitely in India, far from home! And since we were so far, my wife wanted to go on a tiger safari, which we did at the Ranthambore National Park. We were lucky enough to spot some tigers in their natural environment, and we also saw other wildlife like bears, crocodiles, wild boars, a slew of peacocks and peahens, and other big birds and wildlife! It was all good, and Ashfaq at Dream Day Tours made it all possible for us by coordinating our itinerary, providing us with excellent guides, great hotels (with dinners and breakfasts included most days), and providing us with our beloved driver, Jeetu, who got us to every site and more, and then to the airport in ample time to catch our flight home! Thank you, Dream Day Tours!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

❤️Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Better than we could have imagined! This was the most well organised trip we could have asked for! Ashfaq and the team couldn't have done more to make the trip better - hotel was stunning, lifts to and from Safari on time (and aircon!) and the best Safari, 2 groups and 1 private ( we saw 7 Tigers). This was a trip tailored to us, made very special! Highly recommend Dream Day Tours if you want the best trip of a life time at a great price!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Good Experience We had a great experience. My friend and I booked the trip just two weeks before arriving in India, and they responded quickly and made everything possible. We shared what we wanted to see, and they created a plan around it. We also had a fantastic driver who was very kind and always made sure we had everything we needed, including water, soda, and beer.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Saw Tigers and Crocodiles! We did 3 safaris, on the first two we saw lots of wildlife including monkeys, deer, hyenas, peacocks and other birds, but no tigers… And then on the third, we were lucky enough to see on four separate occasions a tiger casually strolling through its natural habitat. We got close enough to take good photos and one even walked straight past the Jeep! We also saw a couple of crocodiles by the lake which topped it off. Very enjoyable experience!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes this different from a standard Rajasthan tour?
A standard Rajasthan tour books modern hotels near the main sights. This route is built entirely around heritage properties — a haveli in Jaipur, a fort-side hotel in Jodhpur, a royal hunting lodge at Narlai, and a lake palace hotel in Udaipur — so the accommodation itself is part of the experience.
Does this package include the leopard safari at Rawla Narlai?
No. This package includes a guided walking tour of the village and surrounding hills at Rawla Narlai only. The property’s leopard safari and its signature stepwell dinner are both optional extras, bookable and paid directly with the property — we’re happy to help arrange either if you’d like to add them.
What is Rawla Narlai, exactly?
A restored 17th-century royal hunting lodge between Jodhpur and Udaipur, known for its characterful rooms, surrounding hills, and a resident leopard population in the area (though sightings on any safari, which is not included here, are never guaranteed).
What is Ranakpur Jain Temple, and is it worth the stop?
Ranakpur is one of India’s largest and most intricately carved marble Jain temples, with over 1,400 individually carved pillars, no two exactly alike. It sits directly on the route between Narlai and Udaipur, making it an easy and worthwhile stop rather than a detour.
Is one night enough at Rawla Narlai?
It’s enough to enjoy the property and its included walking tour comfortably. If you’d like more time to explore the surrounding hills or add the leopard safari, we’d recommend extending to two nights — an easy adjustment to this itinerary.
How do we get from Udaipur to our onward flight?
We arrange your transfer to Udaipur airport, where you’ll take a short domestic flight to either Jaipur or Delhi, whichever suits your onward travel. This flight is quoted separately from the main package since fares vary by booking date.
Can the tour end in Jaipur instead of flying via Delhi, or vice versa?
Yes — both are straightforward options. Let us know your preference when you enquire, and we’ll quote the route accordingly.
What's the best time of year for this route?
October to March offers the most comfortable temperatures across all four cities. Heritage properties can book up early in peak season (December-January), so earlier planning helps secure the exact rooms you’d like.
Is this a private tour, or will we be grouped with other travelers?
Fully private. Your vehicle, driver, and guide are exclusively yours for all 8 days.
What should we wear when visiting the Jain temple at Ranakpur?
Modest clothing covering shoulders and knees. Leather items aren’t permitted inside the temple itself and can be left with your driver.
What payment methods do you accept?
International card, bank transfer, or Revolut — you’ll receive a formal invoice under our registered business name, so there’s no need to carry cash for the full amount.
Is airport pickup and drop-off included?
Yes — our representative meets you at Jaipur airport on arrival, and assists with your transfer to Udaipur airport at the end of the tour for your onward domestic flight.
