Your 10-Day Journey, Day by Day
Your journey begins in Kochi, a coastal city shaped by centuries of trade and cultural exchange. After a smooth transfer from the airport to your hotel, spend the afternoon in Fort Kochi the iconic Chinese fishing nets, and Portuguese, Dutch, and British influences layered into the old town’s architecture.
Drive from Kochi into the hills of Munnar, where tea plantations stretch out in every direction. Over two nights, visit sprawling tea estates and spice plantations, and stop at scenic viewpoints along the way. Munnar’s slow, cool mountain air is a deliberate contrast to the pace of the cities still ahead of you.
Continue to Thekkady, home to Periyar National Park. A boat ride on Periyar Lake offers the chance to spot elephants, deer, and a wide variety of birds in their natural habitat, and the surrounding hills are known for their spice plantations. Overnight in Thekkady
Arrive in Alleppey and board a traditional Kerala houseboat for an overnight cruise along the backwaters — calm canals lined with coconut palms and small villages, with freshly prepared Kerala meals served on board. Overnight on the houseboat
Fly north to Jaipur, the royal capital of Rajasthan. Over two days, explore Amber Fort’s mirrored halls and hilltop views, the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and the astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar. In the evenings, wander Jaipur’s markets for textiles, jewelry, and local Rajasthani cuisine. Overnight in Jaipur (2 nights).
Travel from Jaipur to Agra. Begin at Agra Fort, its red sandstone walls once the seat of Mughal power, then see the Taj Mahal in the soft light of late afternoon — one of the most memorable sights of the entire journey. Overnight in Agra
After breakfast, our team assists with your transfer to the airport or onward destination — a fitting close to a journey spanning the grandeur of the Golden Triangle and the calm of Kerala’s backwaters, two very different sides of India in one trip.

Kerala: God's Own Country
If the Golden Triangle shows travelers India’s royal and historic soul, Kerala shows them its calm. Tucked away in India’s southwest coast, Kerala has long been one of the most loved destinations among international travelers and it’s easy to see why.
Glide through the tranquil backwaters on a traditional houseboat, drifting past palm-lined canals, paddy fields, and quiet village life a world away from the noise of city touring. Explore centuries-old spice plantations, where cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon still grow the way they did when Kerala first put India on the global spice trade map. Unwind on pristine beaches, indulge in authentic Ayurvedic therapies and yoga retreats, and experience a coastal culture rich in art, cuisine, and tradition.

Dream Day Tours Golden Triangle and Tiger Safari Tour is definitely worth booking! Review of Dream Day Tours - Golden Triangle plus Tiger Safari Tour This past June my wife and I traveled to India with one of my wife’s colleagues to visit her husband’s hometown in Assam, India. It was great seeing a part of India from the perspective of a family that lived there, but since this was my wife’s first time to India, we decided to book a tour to show her some other beautiful sites. And so, we booked a lovely tour through Dream Day Tours, which is based in Jaipur. It was called the Golden Triangle Tour with Tiger Safari. It was just the two of us on the tour, so Dream Day Tours catered everything to our needs and desires. To begin, we flew into Delhi and Dream Day arranged for a driver to bring us from the airport to the Welcomehotel by ITC in Dwarka. Excellent hotel with very good food. The next day, we started our tour with the driver that was assigned to us, Jeetu Singh. Jeetu was great and transported us to our various destinations for the entire tour. We were also provided with a local guide for Delhi, Aarif Sheikh. Aarif was an excellent guide. He gave us a lot of historical and cultural information and took us to Jama Masjid, which was a spectacular mosque built in the time of the Mughals in the 1600’s, and still used for prayer today. We also got a bicycle rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, which is a lively and colorful market nearby. We were also taken to a grand Sikh Temple and learned of the generosity of the Sikh’s to their pilgrims and temple visitors. We appreciated the visits to the monuments and museums that were made around the life and death of Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi. The next morning Jeetu brought us to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. We were met there by our guide Vipin. The Taj is spectacular, and basically was the only site we visited in Agra. Vipin brought us to various places to see the Taj under different views and at sunrise and sunset. We had total access to the Taj and its grounds, and Vipin, an amateur photographer took many beautiful and romantic photos of us with the Taj as a background. In fact, he took such a beautiful photo of us that we both use it as our most recent FB profile page. He definitely has talent as a photographer! On our way from Agra to Jaipur, Jeetu had us visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was the capital of the Mughal empire under Emperor Akbar in the 1500’s. This was certainly worth the visit. And we also stopped at a step well, which was a structure that was used historically to provide water to the inhabitants of the area. It was really different, fascinating, and ingenious! In Jaipur, the Pink City, we were again provided with a guide that was very versed in Indian culture and history, Mr. Raghuveer. He immediately brought us the Hawa Mahal, or Wind Palace, which is an incredibly beautiful structure overlooking a large busy square. We were again brought there by the Dream Day Tours owner, Ashfaq, in the evening, to see its beauty at night. Phenomenal! We had stressed that, besides seeing traditional tourist sites, we wanted to get an experience that showed us some of what really goes on in Jaipur streets, so Mr. Raghuveer took us to the flower market, where we were showered with flowers. This seemed especially appropriate for us since we had just celebrated our 40th anniversary. It was wild, and the flowers were beautiful, and an Indian friend of ours said it was like we were getting married! Then we visited the extraordinarily ornate and expansive Amber Fort, which was built in the 1500s by a Hindu Raj that had a political alliance with the Muslim Moghul Emperor Akbar. Beyond beautiful! Didn’t think that could be topped, but then we were brought to the City Palace, which was unbelievable in its majesty! Other things that made the trip a super experience were seeing a real snake charmer and having a hands-on interaction with an elephant, which was very weird, very exciting, and a little unnerving! We were definitely in India, far from home! And since we were so far, my wife wanted to go on a tiger safari, which we did at the Ranthambore National Park. We were lucky enough to spot some tigers in their natural environment, and we also saw other wildlife like bears, crocodiles, wild boars, a slew of peacocks and peahens, and other big birds and wildlife! It was all good, and Ashfaq at Dream Day Tours made it all possible for us by coordinating our itinerary, providing us with excellent guides, great hotels (with dinners and breakfasts included most days), and providing us with our beloved driver, Jeetu, who got us to every site and more, and then to the airport in ample time to catch our flight home! Thank you, Dream Day Tours!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

❤️Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Better than we could have imagined! This was the most well organised trip we could have asked for! Ashfaq and the team couldn't have done more to make the trip better - hotel was stunning, lifts to and from Safari on time (and aircon!) and the best Safari, 2 groups and 1 private ( we saw 7 Tigers). This was a trip tailored to us, made very special! Highly recommend Dream Day Tours if you want the best trip of a life time at a great price!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Good Experience We had a great experience. My friend and I booked the trip just two weeks before arriving in India, and they responded quickly and made everything possible. We shared what we wanted to see, and they created a plan around it. We also had a fantastic driver who was very kind and always made sure we had everything we needed, including water, soda, and beer.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Saw Tigers and Crocodiles! We did 3 safaris, on the first two we saw lots of wildlife including monkeys, deer, hyenas, peacocks and other birds, but no tigers… And then on the third, we were lucky enough to see on four separate occasions a tiger casually strolling through its natural habitat. We got close enough to take good photos and one even walked straight past the Jeep! We also saw a couple of crocodiles by the lake which topped it off. Very enjoyable experience!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Golden Triangle tour of India?
The Golden Triangle refers to Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur the three cities that form a triangle on the map and hold India’s most-visited historic sites, including the Taj Mahal and Amber Fort. This tour combines that classic circuit with Kerala’s backwaters in the south.
Why combine the Golden Triangle with Kerala instead of doing them separately?
Most operators sell North India and South India as separate trips, but they complement each other well in a single visit: the Golden Triangle offers history and architecture, while Kerala offers a completely different pace
hills, wildlife, and water. Combining them in one trip also means one team handling all your logistics, including the domestic flight between the two regions.
What's a Kerala houseboat actually like is it comfortable?
Traditional Kerala houseboats (locally called Kettuvallam) are converted rice barges with private bedrooms, en suite bathrooms, a dining area, and an open deck, crewed by a captain and cook who prepare fresh Kerala meals on board. It’s a relaxed, comfortable overnight cruise rather than a rustic camping experience.
Is this trip suitable for honeymooners?
Yes the Alleppey houseboat night in particular is one of India’s most popular honeymoon experiences. Let us know if you’d like any special touches arranged for the occasion.
Which month is best to visit for this combined tour?
Good news for this itinerary specifically: the ideal seasons for both regions overlap well. October to March offers pleasant weather for the Golden Triangle cities and is also Kerala’s most comfortable season, before the pre-monsoon heat (April–May) and monsoon rains (June–September) set in.
What is the route of the Golden Triangle tour by car?
The Golden Triangle circuit connects Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, typically traveling from Delhi south to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, then west to Jaipur in Rajasthan, often with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri between Agra and Jaipur. On this tour, that circuit follows the Kerala leg, connected by a domestic flight.
Where can we enjoy camel and elephant safaris?
Camel safaris are available in the deserts of Rajasthan, particularly around Jaisalmer and Pushkar (can be added if you extend your trip). An elephant walk up to Amber Fort in Jaipur is part of this itinerary’s Rajasthan leg.
What wildlife might we see at Periyar National Park in Thekkady?
Boat rides on Periyar Lake commonly offer sightings of wild elephants, deer, and a wide variety of birds; sightings of larger predators are less common but possible. It’s a relaxed wildlife experience by boat rather than a jeep safari.
Is the food in Kerala very different from North India?
Yes, and that’s part of the appeal Kerala’s cuisine leans on coconut, rice, and fresh seafood along the coast, quite different from the Mughlai and Rajasthani flavors of the Golden Triangle cities. Vegetarian options are widely available throughout.
Can the driver speak Hindi or English?
Our drivers speak Hindi and the regional language of each area, with basic English sufficient for everyday communication, and we provide complimentary English-speaking city guides in major cities. If you’d prefer a fluent English-speaking driver throughout, or a guide in French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Russian, or German, let us know in advance this is available at an extra cost.
Does the driver know all the sightseeing attractions?
Yes all our drivers are well-versed in their regions and familiar with the attractions and places of interest along the route.
Do you handle the domestic flight between Kerala and Jaipur?
The flight itself isn’t included in the package price, but we’re happy to book it alongside your tour so you have one point of contact for the whole trip rather than arranging it separately.
Is Kerala safe for solo or first-time travelers to India?
Yes, Kerala is generally considered one of India’s more relaxed and tourist-friendly states. With a private guide and driver throughout this itinerary, you’re never navigating unfamiliar areas alone.
What should we pack for the humidity and the houseboat?
Light, breathable clothing for Kerala’s humidity, comfortable sandals, sun protection, and mosquito repellent are all worth packing. Warmer layers are useful for the cooler evenings in Munnar’s hills.
Is the Taj Mahal open every day?
No, it’s closed to visitors on Fridays. If your dates fall on a Friday, we’ll adjust the itinerary sequence so you don’t miss it.
Can this itinerary be customized or shortened?
Yes. Extra nights in Munnar or Jaipur, a different pace, or dropping a stop to shorten the trip can all be arranged let us know your priorities and available days.
What payment methods do you accept?
International card, bank transfer, or Revolut you’ll receive a formal invoice under our registered business name, so there’s no need to carry cash for the full amount.
Do you handle visas as well as the tour itself?
We handle everything on the ground in India hotels, guiding, and private transport. Indian e-visas are applied for independently through the government portal, though we’re glad to advice on the process.
Do you provide travel insurance?
No, this isn’t included. We strongly recommend arranging comprehensive travel insurance, including medical cover, before you depart.
Is airport pickup and drop-off included?
Yes our representative meets you at Kochi airport on arrival at the start of the tour and assists with your departure transfer from Delhi at the end.
